With over 20 years of experience as a Certified Nutritionist and over a decade as a CRA practitioner, Xianti (pronounced: shen-tee) Hoo. She is a one-of-a-kind health and nutrition practitioner. Just read through her history and see why.

Her childhood prayer: to take away pain and problems of others

Some of us take years to find the kind of job or career we want, but Xianti Hoo was different. She knew fairly early in her life what she wanted to do. As a child she remembers praying to God to ask that other people’s pains and problems be given to her. She was a sensitive and caring child who loved the idea of helping other people feel better.

After much exploration, she now offers you many alternatives

During her teen years, she found herself doing fasts and other health regimes to improve her own health. No one told her she had to. No one made her do it. She just knew those were things she wanted to do.

After learning about nutrition and healthy eating, in 1976 Xianti chose to be a vegetarian. That was not an easy decision, given she grew up in a small town in Michigan, where people generally ate meat at nearly every meal. But, she decided to take a stand for her health and to this day, she maintains that diet. She does not advocate that everyone make the same choice she did. What she does advocate is having choices or different alternatives for you to choose from. She, then, supports you in making the best choice for you.

Her leadership abilities led into teaching about health

Shortly after that in her young adulthood, Xianti began taking yoga classes. Her yoga instructor recognized Xianti’s natural talent for teaching and invited her to substitute in her absence. Eventually Xianti ended up forming her own yoga classes and keeping her body healthy through exercise as well as nutrition.

Her educational credentials give you confidence and trust

Although her whole life seemed to be leading toward a career in health, it was not until 1978 that she formally decided to become a health practitioner and began her study in earnest. Here are the major highlights of her career.

  • She studied western herbalism, Chinese Medicine, nutrition applications, Ayurveda, qigong healing, crystal healing and yoga for many years.
  • Xianti began studying Contact Reflex Analysis (CRA) in 1986 under Dr. Versandaal, the founder of CRA, in Holland, Michigan. She used what she learned in CRA to heal her own body of chronic fatigue syndrome and Crohn’s Disease (an inflammation of the bowel that can lead to thickening and scarring, causing possible obstruction).
  • After studying at the Health Enrichment Center in Lapeer, Michigan, Xianti received a Certified Massage Therapist (C.M.T) accreditation in 1993.
  • Her study of Chinese Medicine and qigong continued in China where she became a Certified Medical Qigong practitioner in 1994.
  • She was ordained a Minister in the Universal Life Church in 1994.
  • In 1995, she was awarded a Ph.D. in Clinical Nutrition from the American College of Independent Studies in Bloomington, Indiana.
  • She was certified in CRA from Parker College of Chiropractic under the founder of CRA, Dr. Versendaal, D.C., Ph.D., in Dallas, Texas in 1996 and again in 1997
  • Additionally she is a certified Nutritional Consultant belonging to the American Association of Nutritional Consultants in 1996.
  • She also recently became a Nationally Certified Hypnotherapist in 2000.
  • Currently continues to study Contact Reflex Analysis and clinical aspects of applied nutrition as it relates to endocrinology, immunology and optimal health.
