Testing the body with its own bioelectricity

Contact Reflex Analysis (CRA) is a unique system that uses the body's own bioelectricity to evaluate the needs of that body. It is based on acupuncture theory and the truth that the body is electrical. CRA was developed over many years of research and dedication by Dr. Versendaal (pictured on the left), D.C., Ph.D., of Holland, Michigan, USA. (Robert Becker, M.D. has written several books on The Body Electric, if you'd like to read more about it. )

Contact Reflex Analysis:

  • is taught to many health practitioners all over the world
  • tests points on the body we call reflex points using Kinesiology or muscle testing to determine the strength or weakness of a single point (see photos below)
  • measures the body's own bioelectricity to determine the need of a particular area

The body works hard to stay balanced. When it has a need, it sends its own electricity to these areas of need and the related reflex is "turned on" by this bioelectricity. This uses the body's much needed energy that would not be necessary to use if the body was healthy and in balance. The reflexes are scanned using kinesiology. This means a reflex is found by testing the extended arm against resistance. When a reflex is active or electrical, the previously strong arm can not resist the downward pressure. Each person is evaluated the same way.

Above: Dr. Xianti Hoo, Ph.D., uses CRA to test a person's reflexes. If the reflex is normal, the arm remains up. If it is not, the arm comes down. It cannot be consciously controlled because it's a reflex.
