Try
a new tip every week and watch your health improve! Sometimes
starting a new health plan can be a daunting task and feel overwhelming. It seems
like there is so much to do. That is absolutely true with each of us as our bodies
are so complex. Fortunately,
you don't have to do everything at once. Just concentrate on one tip over a week,
then check back here next week for a new tip. We add a new tip every week. Invite
your friends and family to join you and then at the end of each week, talk about
what you gained. Our goal is to help you live a happier, more meaningful life. Take
a break from cooked food
Once
a week eat only raw food and vegetable juices. Eat lightly and rest the body.
Fasting, and forms of fasting rest the digestive system taking burdens off the
liver and allow it to release any toxins that may be accumulated. Many times due
to overloading the digestive system with work by having to digest cooked foods,
toxins can build up. If
there are so many toxins your body can rid itself of, you will become more suspectible
to illness and disease. Detoxification
will take place as materials trapped or stored in fatty tissue are released when
you eat whole foods. You will then have greater clarity of mind, and your daily
life could improve. Listen
to your body
Pain
is one of many signals that the body has to show you that there is a problem.
Listen by tuning in to the signals the body is giving you will be able to act
quickly to support healing and recovery. If
you can't determine what your body is trying to tell you, find someone who can
help you figure out the cause of the signals that you are receiving. Massage,
chiropractic support, nutritional support and yoga and qigong are all helpful
modalities that you can choose from. If
you like, you can choose to do a FREE
mini health consultation on the phone, where I can tell you what your body's
first and primary challenge is. Or you might want to choose a
full health evaluation, where you get lots of detail on every system in your
body plus recommendations on how to address each issue. Gain
energy as you walk
Walking
helps the body by moving the joints, which generates electricity and energy. When
you walk you gain energy because of the movement of the joints and the ease that
is required to do this simple, effective exercise. Walk
at least 20 minutes three to four times per week and verify the increase in energy
that you get. Eat
sufficient protein
If
you're note eating enough protein, you may begin to feel malnourished. What
are some signs of protein malnutrition? Weak, flabby muscles, fatigue, inability
to digest foods, weight gain or weight loss, poor hair, skin and eyes. Even
if you eat protein, you may not be able to effectively use what you are eating
due to a lack of essential amino acids. Heating destroys the essential amino acids;
therefore eating only cooked proteins may not be the best for the body. Many
proteins come in whole natural forms. Be sure to eat uncooked, unheated proteins
often.
- Raw
milk and raw milk products like cheese--these are available in most quality health
food stores like Whole Foods
- Sushi
with raw fish, for instance sashimi available in Japanese restaurants
- Raw
nuts and seeds or seed butter like: peanut butter, almond butter, cashew nut butter,
etc.
- Soft cooked eggs can provide you will the amino acids that are required
by the body
Take
your calcium supplements at bedtime
This
may be just what you need to relax your body totally and completely. Calcium is
an essential mineral and the most abundant mineral in the body. Symptoms
of prolonged calcium deficiency include insomnia, heart palpitations and muscle
spasms, as well as arm and leg numbness.
So help yourself to your calcium at bedtime for a restful night sleep. At
Alternative Choices Healing Center, we carry Calcium Lactate which easily assimilates
into your body. Feel free to call and as about purchasing it. You can call TOLL
FREE 1-866-942-6848. Or, just e-mail
for more information. Take
a few moments each hour for a few deep breaths
Close
your eyes, relax your body and mind and breath... slowing and consciously breathe
into the abdomen. Repeat three to four rounds, in and out slowly and with mindfulness.
This
stress relieving break will support your adrenals by allowing your body to relax,
allowing the breath to bring in vital oxygen and by relaxing your mind from all
unnecessary thoughts. Doing this simple process each hour of your day will be
more productive and you will be able to stay focused and centered. Reduce
your carbohydrates
Minimize
any foods with flours, sugars and starches. Excess
consumption of carbohydrates contributes to adding more toxins to your body from
the carbon by-products of starchy foods like pasta, bread, cakes, cookies, etc.
Vital tissue salts necessary for oxidation of the blood and tissue oxidation are
inadequately assimilated, and this facilitates lack of oxygen in the body, leaving
you feel tired. Additionally,
excess carbohydrates could lead to hyperinsulinism a resistance to the action
of insulin. This is linked to the signs and symptoms related to noninsulin-dependant
diabetes, obesity, increased blood pressure, elevated blood sugar, blood triglycerides
and LDL-lcholesterol with decreased HDL cholesterol. Drink
water first thing in the morning
This
encourages elimination of toxins because water raises the level of watery plasma
and quickens activity of circulation. Water is a solvent and contains hydrogen,
which has a soothing, softening effect upon the body, mind and soul. Cells
must be immersed in water. Water is the avenue of dispersion for toxin elimination.
Blood flow and transport of nourishment also depend upon water. When water is
deficient in the body, heat and congestion are possible, making you more suspectible
to illness and disease. Eat
organic veggies!
Eating
organic vegetables will provide you with vitamins, minerals, fibers and tastes
to satisfy most nutritional cravings that you may have. Vegetables complement
any health care program. With
so many varieties to choose from you will never be bored. Vegetables oxygenate
the body, stimulate the brain, and make you feel balanced. *To
